How 4word Women Are Living the Gospel Without Borders

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.” — Matthew 28:19

It’s a verse many of us know by heart—and yet we often picture it lived out by someone else. A missionary. A pastor. Someone whose life looks a little more…global.

But what if this call wasn’t about geography as much as it was about obedience?

What if the “all nations” Jesus spoke of includes the nations represented on our Zoom calls? The colleagues in different time zones. The women navigating leadership, faith, and identity in places we may never go, but with whom we share a Kingdom bond?

Faith doesn’t wait for a passport stamp. It doesn’t require a plane ticket. It begins with a willing heart—and multiplies when we say yes

A Global Thread, Woven Through Women

You may not think your life can have global reach. But the Gospel does. And when you live it out boldly in your own sphere of influence—your workplace, your community, your conversations—your impact can reach further than you think.

This year, 4word has seen that firsthand.

From an International Collaboratory of twelve women across five countries, to a retreat in Warsaw, Poland, where 4word leaders ministered to Ukrainian women in active ministry—we’ve watched God weave together a tapestry of faith that stretches across borders.

And every thread? Was a woman who said yes.

4word’s International Collaboratory: Courage Across Continents

“We created a circle of 12 sisters from 5 countries and 4 U.S. states to journey together for 12 months… They lead by following Christ amidst real danger to themselves and their families—due to their faith and due to their gender.” — Dr. Joy Dahl, Facilitator and Coach, International Collaboratory

Twelve women. Five countries. Four time zones.

Entrepreneurs. Business owners. Industry leaders in finance, tech, insurance, and healthcare.

What brought them together?

Faith.

Not just faith for their own sake—but faith for their families, their teams, and their nations.

“I don’t know if I would be alive if not for this group,” one sister in Africa shared. “I had such fear during pregnancy. But after prayer the first month we met, I felt revival within me. I felt alive!”

Another sister echoed: “I feel now that I am not alone. I have sisters to walk with. We walk together.”

And that’s the heartbeat of the International Collaboratory.

Not programs or prestige. Just presence, prayer, and perseverance—together.

In Warsaw: Strength for the Weary, Light for the World

This spring, a small team of 4word women traveled to Warsaw, Poland to minister to a group of Ukrainian women in leadership.

The retreat was sacred, honest, and full of healing.

“These women are already binding up the brokenhearted,” said Michelle Quinn, government advisor and 4word executive woman. “They are already doing the work of ministry. And as they complete their seminary degrees and step into pastoral roles, they will become critical instruments of healing for their nation.”

“They’ve really plunged to the depths of their faith,” said Chaplain Margaret Kibben, U.S. House of Representatives. “And to see these women—standing with integrity, intelligence, and compassion—was profoundly inspirational.”

It wasn’t about fixing the pain of these brave Ukrainian women. It was about being with them.

“Your care and love were expressed physically,” said Anna Gnatyshyn from Kyiv Theological Seminary. “You sat beside us. You shared space with us. That presence strengthened us and empowered us to return home and continue our ministry.”

God shows up when we show up.

Even across oceans. Even in war zones. Even in a circle of women who refuse to let darkness win.

What Faith Without Borders Actually Means

Faith without borders doesn’t mean leaving your life behind to go “do ministry.”

It means believing your obedience matters—and it multiplies.

It means saying yes to:

It means remembering that your faith is never just about you.

“We are all vessels of God’s grace, God’s encouragement, and God’s strength. But even vessels run empty. To participate in a weekend that allowed these beautiful vessels to be replenished—so they could go back and continue inspiring others—was truly a privilege.” — Margaret Kibben

Why Your Yes Matters

You may not be called to Ukraine. Or to organize an international leadership group.

But your yes still counts.

“We don’t have to be Billy Graham,” Margaret Kibben reminded us. “We can be a handful of women from across the United States, with a passion for Christ and compassion for God’s children—and God will find a way to use us.”

That’s the core of 4word’s mission:

And this year, through our Year-End Giving campaign, we’re inviting you to be part of the ripple.

Your gift supports:

Your “yes” becomes her strength.

Start Where You Are

Here are three simple ways to live “faith without borders” today:

1. Pray globally.

Start by adding one international prayer to your daily quiet time. Use a world map. Follow global Christian news. Ask God to break your heart for a woman you may never meet.

2. Invest in a woman’s future.

Support 4word’s Year-End Giving campaign. Every dollar equips a woman to lead in her community and live out her faith with courage.

3. Open your hands to mentorship.

Whether you need guidance or have wisdom to share, explore our Mentor Program. Because one conversation can start a global ripple.

You Are Already Part of Something Global

To the woman wondering how to make a difference: you already are.

Every time you walk in faith, you link arms with women around the world who are doing the same.

You’re not alone. You never have been.

From Kyiv to Kampala, from Dallas to Dubai—faith multiplies.

Because our God is borderless. And so is His Kingdom.
